Eugene Lee

While on an overseas trip to Cambridge, England, Eugene discovered his love for film through the art of scriptwriting. He eventually found his way to San Diego where he attended the University of California San Diego as an International Studies Political Science major with a secondary track in Communications. It was at UCSD where Eugene would lead to his first foray into media: college radio. Eugene became a DJ at KSDT Radio and it was in this setting where Eugene stumbled upon what would be a new path.

While at University, Eugene underwent his first casting for a job as the host of a “reality-party/dating” show by Climax Entertainment. A year later he received a call from Janice Tanaka of Tanaka Video Productions (involved at the Climax party) to shoot a pilot for AZN Networks. The pilot was shot by TVP, and submitted to the International Channel, who later gave the green light for the making of “Popcorn Zen”.

After finding Eugene on a search of AZN’s website, MediaCorp Studios of Singapore found themselves the perfect candidate to audition for a pilot called Rock DJ. Before he knew it, Eugene found himself on a plane to Singapore to shoot the pilot as Dong Jin, DJ. The pilot was a hit and MediaCorps’s Channel 5 began production of the newly titled: ABCDJ, the story of an American Born Chinese (ABC) named Dong Jin (DJ).

Upon Eugene’s return he locked down principle roles in GM’s Live Green Go Yellow Commercial Campaign, followed by roles for ESPN, Apple, Havaiianas, and General Electric Commercial Campaigns.  Eugene has also been nominated as a best actor at a local Hollywood 24 hour film festival. Currently Eugene is the face of SUTASI, bringing Asian music to the world stage!

Eugene C. Lee was born and raised in Orange County, California.
