Through a series of broadcast shows, SUTASI showcases the best music acts Asian countries have to offer in a regional playoff within South East Asia, North East Asia and South Asia. The winners of each region advance to the Grand Final Gala to determine Asia’s best solo artist, best band and best songwriter.

How were the Regional Finalists selected?
37 musical acts were selected from over 4,000 online submissions and live auditions from more than 20 countries in Asia.

How many finalists will go onto the Grand Final?
9 finalists will be selected to go on to perform in the Grand Final. This is comprised of three bands, and three solo artists and three ‘popular vote’ acts from each of the three regions – South East, North East and South Asia. The winning songwriter will be announced on the evening.

How are the finalists judged?
The winners are selected by music industry experts from around the world, as well as you - the audience.

Who are the judges?
The judging panel is made up of highly respected celebrities and music industry professionals from around the world. The audience can have their say as well by contributing to the final selection process via telephone and internet voting.

What do the winners receive?
The winners of the Grand Final will share in over one million US dollars in cash and prizes including the opportunity to co-write with successful & international songwriters, record an album with commercially successful producers, global marketing and promotion, and the star role in a music video for worldwide release plus cash prizes.

When will the television series be broadcast?
SUTASI will be aired throughout Asia and the world in 2009.

We will advise on how to vote for your favourite finalists when the show is aired in your country.

Entries for the next SUTASI competition will open early in 2009. Once applications are open, simply apply by submitting your application online at http://www.sutasi.com.
